This can't be a coincidence

August 2, 2011 9:47 pm

Yesterday on the Mike Lupica radio show, Sal Paolantonio pointed out that Patriots havn't won a playoff game since they were getting the defensive calls in advance, a.k.a. Spygate. I wonder why no one ever seems to bring this up. The Pats should have an asterisk next to their titles, just like Barry Bonds needs an asterisk on his "records". Just another comical side note, Sal Pal also said that the Pats looked like their defense was "pillow fighting" in last years playoffs. Truth is always funnier than fiction.

Jets?

September 10, 2010 10:30 am

how can you Jets fans rag on the Ravens when your team is almost identical, but more of a mirror image. I will say you definetly have a better secondary with revis and cromartie, but almost every team has a better secondary than the ravens. However, comparing sanchez to flacco is so foolish considering sanchez cant even slide and throws some ridiculous picks, however he is semi-decent and in a year or two will be much better. In terms of DL and LB you have to say the ravens have the edge with more experience and size. Our OLs are pretty similar, although I would give the Jets the slight edge with mangold and faneca. And at WR and RB you have to say the ravens are better considering all the off the field issues with braylon and Santonio Holmes, and the dominance of Ray Rice, although I do think Shonn Greene will be good this year and be dominant next year. Revis will bottle up Boldin, but Housh/Dickson/Pitta will give the jets trouble.

It's all good though, even though jets fans resent Rex Ryan's upbringing in Bmore, it is what made him a good coach, leading one of the most dominant defenses in the NFL. I would expect this kind of behavior from Steelers fans, but the jets...really? One of the few teams i liked watching post-Mangini era.

this is the Jets year?? oh yeah theyr going to be sooo good. they stacked up on so many great players!! hmmm.. sounds alot like the Redskins to me. and we all know how great they are. i mean just think about all this. you guys thnk youl win the superbowl becaus you stacked up on players?? wow. if all it took to win superbowls was to grab all the best players, wouldn't every team be doing it?? its just the jets and redskins who do that. and how long has it been since theyv won a superbowl??
